AB Dynamics’ LaunchPad 80 has been shortlisted by the British Engineering Excellence Awards for the Engineered Product of the year category. The winners will be announced on Friday 18th March.
The Launchpad 80 was introduced at the end of 2021 and is our latest and fastest VRU (Vulnerable Road User) platform. Capable of safe and controlled testing at speeds of up to 80 km/h and braking at over 0.6g, it was the first commercially available platform to meet the speed requirements of Euro NCAP’s AEB/LSS VRU Test Protocol for motorcycle ADAS testing due to come into effect in 2023.
“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the BEEAs,” said Jeremy Ash, AB Dynamics Sales Director. “It is a well-respected award with notable previous winners. We are very proud of the LaunchPad 80 and strongly believe it is significantly contributing to making our roads safer.”
Paul Fanning, publishing director at MA Business, said: “The British Engineering Excellence Awards have been the benchmark for great British engineering design for more than a decade now. I’m delighted to say that this year is no exception, with an exceptionally diverse and fascinating set of entries.”
