New Independent Power Pack released for driving robots

27.03.2024

We are pleased to announce the release of our new Independent Power Pack. It is an alternative power supply battery compatible with our range of driving robots that removes the requirement to use the vehicle’s 12-volt system.

The quick and easy-to-install unit provides uninterrupted testing from an independent power source, proving especially useful when testing electric vehicles that may not otherwise have a compatible battery connection.

“More and more vehicles being tested are now electric and our customers don’t want their test equipment to be draining the vehicle’s battery or interfering with the vehicle’s battery management system,” said Steven Small, Principal Engineer – Electrical and Electronic at AB Dynamics. “Our new Independent Power Pack is the perfect solution to this problem. This alternative power system means the vehicle’s battery is only used to cover critical test mileage.”

The Independent Power Pack is compliant with UN regulations to facilitate swift transportation via air freight.
