Queen Elizabeth II was the patron of over 600 charities, public service organisations, military associations, and professional bodies over her 70-year reign.
Britain’s longest reigning monarch, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, sadly passed away on the 8th of September 2022 at the age of 96. The nation is now preparing for her state funeral on the 19th of September, which marks the last day of national mourning. A national bank holiday has also been declared by the UK government.
Queen Elizabeth II was the patron of over 600 charities, public service organisations, military associations, and professional bodies over her 70-year reign. As a mark of respect and to honour her charitable legacy, AB Dynamics has chosen a donation to the Institute of Royal Engineers.
The InstRE is a registered charity incorporated by the Royal Charter, established in 1887 to promote the art and science of military engineering and the efficiency of the Corps of Royal Engineer.
Daz Rawlins OBE, President of AB Dynamics Europe, commented: “Her Majesty’s charity work was inspirational; she was devoted to her causes, and they played a big part in her public life. We believe donating to the InstRE is the best way to honour Her Majesty’s life. The InstRE is a fantastic organisation, which is doing a great deal of good work in promoting and advancing military engineering.”
